Create your first world

Start small: one interesting place and one reason to look closer. A door with light under it is enough.

#1. Find your opening

Open Build a world, give your world a name and a short description, then choose your opening scene. Writing your idea is free, and the draft is kept in that browser tab until you create the world.

You can also give the world a story before you build. Write the plan yourself for free, or have the story writer draft one; its small price is shown on the button, and it is included with Sogni Unlimited. The plan is only for you. It suggests what to build in each scene, and visitors never see it.

Opening What to know
Make an image Generates a new opening from your idea. You see the price first.
My Sogni images Images you have made on Sogni in the last 48 hours, with no new generation charge.
Upload an image PNG, JPEG, or WebP, up to 24 MB and 16 megapixels. Uploads stay private until a moderator approves them.
Try an example Starts a free private copy of an example scene. The example itself stays unchanged.

Use an image you have the right to use, with clear objects and room for the story to move. Keep the full scene: screenshots and frames taken from a video cannot become the next scene. To create paths, the original needs each edge between 256 and 2560 pixels and an aspect ratio the editing and video models support. Unsupported sources are refused before anything is generated, and the original is never cropped to fit.

For example: The Last Bookshop, a quiet shop at midnight with one book glowing on the back shelf.

#2. Choose how to pay

Sign in with your Sogni account. You choose how to pay once, under Pay with in the account menu at the top of World, and everything you make uses that choice:

Pay with What happens
Unlimited Shown when your Sogni Unlimited or Unlimited Pro plan is active. Eligible generations come out of your plan, subject to fair use and plan limits. World never switches to spending your tokens on its own.
Spark New generations spend your spendable Spark balance at the displayed price.
SOGNI New generations spend SOGNI at the displayed price.

The button for each step shows its price, or that it is included in your plan, before anything is made. Each step is charged as it finishes, so stopping partway still pays for the finished ones. If fast rendering on your plan is paused, World tells you when it resumes; wait until then, or choose Spark in the account menu.

Already have Unlimited? Use the same account you subscribed with. After subscribing in another tab, return to World and open the account menu again.

#3. Make one choice matter

In your private world's studio, choose Create my first hotspot (later, Add a hotspot):

  1. Pick something. Tap or click inside the object. Start with one include point; add more, or use Leave out on nearby objects, only if you need to. On a keyboard, focus the scene, move with the arrow keys, and press Enter to place a point. Then give the object a simple name. That name becomes part of the choice visitors see.
  2. Decide what it does.
    • Travel somewhere new makes a path: a new scene, and an animated journey with sound that takes visitors there.
    • Bring it to life here makes a moment: the picture moves in place โ€” something wakes, speaks, or reacts โ€” then settles back.
    • Make it a 3D collectible lifts the object out of the picture and rebuilds it as a 3D model visitors can turn over.
  3. Imagine what happens. Enter the visitor's action (Open, Follow, Touch, Explore) and describe what they discover. For the bookshop, pick the glowing book and try: Open the book. Its pages unfold into a doorway to a moonlit garden.
  4. Check the selection. Choose Outline my object. Its white area should cover your object. If it missed, choose again; a new selection has its own cost.
  5. Approve. Approving creates the rest: for a path, the destination still and the animated journey from your original scene to it; for a moment, the film; for a collectible, the 3D model.

Picking an object and writing your idea are free. Nothing is generated until you approve each step. Keep each hotspot to one thing happening, so the result is easy to understand.

#4. Watch before adding

Preview the result with sound before it joins your world. For a path, inspect the destination at full size: check that the chosen object changed as intended, that important characters still look right, and that the movement reaches the new place naturally. For a moment, check that the picture settles back where it began. For a collectible, turn the model all the way around. Add it to your world only when you are happy with it.

Keep the tab open while something is being made. If an attempt stops, or you reload or lose your connection, reopen the same scene: World checks the saved jobs and reuses completed work instead of submitting paid replacements automatically. Closing the tab pauses the next step until you return. These recovery shortcuts are saved per account in that browser, so clearing its data removes them. An explicit retry charges only for new jobs that replace confirmed failed or canceled work.

#5. Invite someone in

Play through your world in the studio, then open Manage your world:

  • Who can explore? Only me (private), anyone with the link (unlisted), or everyone (public).
  • Who can add paths? Only you, or signed-in explorers once the world is shared. Contributors pay for their own generations.
  • Availability. Archiving keeps every scene but closes the world to visitors and new paths. Choose Active to restore it.

Previously issued media links can keep working for up to 30 minutes after you remove access. To appear in the public Community worlds gallery, submit your world for review from the studio; submission is free, and approval is required.

A useful first milestone is one opening, two different paths, and one moment. Make those choices enjoyable before expanding the world.
