Account Types & Sign-in
There are two ways to have a Sogni account. Both support images, video, music, Spark purchases, Sogni Unlimited, rewards and the API. Wallet access and available sign-in methods differ, so use an app that supports your account's sign-in method.
Sogni Web currently uses username and password. The Google / Apple sign-in options and settings below apply only to Sogni apps that offer them. If you used Google or Apple, return to the app where you used that sign-in method.
#The two account types
#Username & password account
You created your account with a Sogni username and password. This account type has full access to your Sogni wallet: send and receive tokens, move balances between your account and your wallet, stake SOGNI, and export your wallet to an external wallet app.
You can also add Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple to this account — see Add Google or Apple sign-in below.
#Google or Apple account
You signed up with Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple, so there is no Sogni password. Your balances are yours, and you can spend, earn and buy exactly like any other user. Wallet actions that need a Sogni password — transfers, deposits and withdrawals, staking, and exporting the wallet — are not available on this account type.
Signed in with Google or Apple on a password account? Wallet actions and account deletion require password sign-in. Keep your working session open until you have your username and password. If you have forgotten them, follow the recovery guide before signing out. Your account and balances are the same either way.
#How to tell which type you have
- If you chose a Sogni username and password at signup, you have a username & password account, even if you later linked Google or Apple.
- If you created the account through Google or Apple without choosing a Sogni password, you have a Google or Apple account.
- A missing wallet address does not identify your account type. The Android app hides that field even for password accounts.

Don't send tokens to a Google or Apple account's wallet address. That account cannot move tokens out of its wallet, so anything sent there cannot be used. To top up a Google or Apple account, buy Spark Points instead.
#Forgot your username or password?
For a username & password account, Sogni cannot reset your password or email you a reset link. Check the browser or password manager you used to create or sign in to your account. If you created your account with Google or Apple, return to the app where you used that sign-in method and use the same provider and the same Google or Apple account. If you previously enabled a provider on a password account, that linked sign-in method can also get you back into an app that offers it; choosing a new provider does not reset or recover a password account.

#Manage your account (Settings in Sogni Create)
In Sogni Web, open the account menu → Manage account, or open the account page while signed in. Available settings vary by app; the web app does not currently show a Google / Apple sign-in card.

#Add Google or Apple sign-in to a password account
In an app that offers account linking, a username & password account can enable Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple — same account, same balances, one more way in. This option is not currently available in Sogni Web.
Linking requires you to be signed in with your username and password. Use the app's account-linking option and choose the provider account whose email matches your Sogni email. For Apple, choose Share My Email — a hidden relay address can't be matched. Once linking succeeds, that provider can sign in to the same account in apps that offer it.
Good to know:
- One provider per account, and it can't be removed or switched later.
- Changing your account email turns Google / Apple sign-in off permanently. Password sign-in keeps working.
- Wallet actions (send, receive, deposit, withdraw, stake, export) and deleting a password account require password sign-in. Keep your current session open until you have the credentials to sign in again.
- "Doesn't match your Sogni email" — you picked a different Google / Apple account, or Apple hid your email. Try again with the matching account and Share My Email.
- "Already connected to a different Sogni account" — that Google / Apple identity already signs in to another Sogni account. Accounts can't be merged.
- "You already have a Sogni account registered with this email" on a Google / Apple sign-in screen — you may have a password account without that provider enabled. Use your Sogni username and password. Linking a provider requires an app that offers account linking.
#Need the full wallet features?
A Google or Apple account cannot add a password, so it cannot become a username & password account. If you need to send, deposit, withdraw or stake tokens, create a username & password account (which can then also enable Google or Apple sign-in).
A new account is a separate account. It starts with its own empty balances — Spark Points, SOGNI, subscription, rewards and history are not shared or moved between your Google / Apple account and a username & password account. Keep using the account that holds your balance for everything it can do; use the new one only for the wallet features you need.
Spark, Unlimited, rewards and API access remain available to both account types. Check that the app you want to use supports your sign-in method.
