Ready to Earn?

Worker mode allows you to join the Supernet by sharing your idle compute power with fellow artists. Your Mac will generate images for community members, and you will earn Testnet SOGNI Tokens during our Testnet phase.

While Testnet SOGNI Tokens have no real market value, all of your activity during this phase will be rewarded once the official Mainnet launch occurs.

▶️ Watch the Tutorial video:

Entering Worker Mode

To switch from Artist Mode to Worker Mode, you'll need to click "Enter Worker Mode and Earn" from the Supernet Menu.

This will open the following Worker UI Window ⚡️

Getting Ready to Connect

Before connecting to the Supernet Network as a Worker, it's important to ensure that you have downloaded a selection of models as you can only power generations for the models you have installed.

⚙️ Storage & Stability Tips:

It is recommended to keep at least 70GB of free space on your Mac's hard drive. Installing your models on an external drive can also improve your worker’s stability—especially if you're supporting a large number of models. For best performance, a portable SSD with high read/write speeds, ideally over 1,000 MB/s (read), is recommended.

You can change where your models are installed by going to Sogni > Settings > Storage Locations from the top menu.

Step One: Download Models

Clicking View All Models and then selecting the drive icon will show which models you have downloaded and installed on your device.

You will be able to contribute to the Supernet for renders which use models you have downloaded - the more models you support, the more jobs you will receive⚡️

Select All from the Models Filter and click into a model you would like to download. Select the version to download and click Download Model.

You can download multiple models and versions at the same time by repeating the process above.

Reminder: The more models you support, the more jobs you will receive ⚡️

When downloading models, you can check on the progress by clicking the Downloads icon within the top toolbar of the Worker UI.

Step Two: Download ControlNet Models

In addition to Models, you'll need to download ControlNet Models to support users who are generating with ControlNets applied. Within the Advanced tab, select Download ControlNet Models from the Worker UI.

Connect To Supernet

Once you have downloaded Models and ControlNet Models you're ready to connect.

Press the Connect button to connect to the Supernet.

Once connected, you'll notice that the UI will say "Standing by" which means your Mac is connected and standing by waiting to process the next job that uses one of your downloaded models.

You will be able to see a history of jobs you have completed as a Worker. The history will provide you with Date, Model, Time to Generate, Number of Steps and also the amount of Testnet SOGNI Tokens you have earned for that generation.

In addition, you can also see your total earnings, total jobs completed and also Session Jobs which provides the number of jobs completed that session of being connected to the Supernet.

You can also view your earnings within your Account at any time by pressing the Account button in the top right corner of the Worker UI. Here you can transfer your earnings and withdraw to any EVM wallet address.

Recommended Energy Settings

Sogni is designed to prevent your Mac from sleeping while connected in worker mode. However, adjusting your Mac’s energy settings will ensure this behavior:

Step One: Open System Settings by selecting the Apple icon within the top left and selecting 'System Settings'. Step Two: Navigate to 'Battery' (for laptops) or 'Energy Saver' (for desktops) from the left sidebar.

Step Three: Adjust Sleep Preferences. Desktop: Uncheck 'Put hard disks to sleep when possible'. Laptop: Select 'Only on battery' for the 'Put hard disks to sleep when possible' setting.

Step Four: Enable Prevent Sleep. Check 'Prevent your Mac from sleeping automatically when the display is off'. Ensure Power Nap is turned off to avoid interruptions.

Use Terminal (Optional)

For advanced users, you can also prevent your Mac from sleeping by running the following command in Terminal:

caffeinate -dimsu -w $$ &

This will keep your Mac awake, even while locked, until you close the Terminal window or stop the command.

Following these steps will help ensure that your Mac stays awake while you share your computing power.

Disconnecting from Worker Mode

You can disconnect from the Supernet at any time and remove your computer from being able to complete any generation jobs by clicking the Standing By button, or clicking Disconnect from Supernet from the Supernet menu.

If you wish to switch back to the Artist Mode, simply select Supernet within the Supernet menu and press Enter Artist Mode.
